FAQ
Questions about switching
Will you import my data for me?
Yes, free while we are in beta. Email your export files to hello@groundsquote.com once you have started your free trial, and we will import them into your account and tell you when it is ready to check. Nothing is changed in your old software.
What does not come over?
Past quotes, invoices and visit history stay in your old software. Most companies keep it for a season for reference and start fresh records in GroundsQuote. Your accountant keeps the old invoices in QuickBooks or Xero as before.
Do I have to measure every lawn again?
Imported properties are marked Not measured. Open one and the property lines are traced for you, usually in a few seconds. Where your file has a lawn size, it is used until you measure.
What if a customer is already in GroundsQuote?
Customers are matched by email, then phone, then name. A matched row updates that customer, or you can choose to leave matched records as they are. Blank cells never wipe anything out.
Which plan do I need?
Import and export are on every paid plan, so you can import during the free trial.
Can I run both systems side by side for a while?
Yes. Import, check your schedule and quotes in GroundsQuote, and switch when you are happy. Importing again later updates the records you already brought over.
