Terms of service

These terms govern your use of GroundsQuote, the websites at groundsquote.com and its subdomains, the GroundsQuote dashboard and the quote widget (together, the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of the business you represent.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the team members you invite. Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.

2. Plans, trials and billing

  • Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial. A payment card is required to start the trial; you are charged when it ends unless you cancel first.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page and keep access until the end of the paid period.
  • Plan limits (requests per month, team seats) are described on the pricing page.

3. Your content and your customers

You own the information you and your customers put into the Service: your pricing, branding, requests, quotes and customer records. You grant us the rights needed to host, process and display it in order to provide the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your pricing, for the quotes you send, for the agreements you make with homeowners and for complying with laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, marketing and privacy laws.

4. Measurements and estimates

Property boundaries and lawn areas are estimated from map data and may differ from surveyed or walked measurements. Suggested and instant prices are calculated from the rates you configure. They are tools to help you quote, not a guarantee; review measurements and prices before relying on them, especially for unusual lots.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to collect information from people without a lawful basis;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful, or that you do not have the right to use;
  • probe, overload or interfere with the Service, or attempt to access other businesses' data;
  • resell the Service or use it to build a competing product.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as Google Maps Platform, Stripe and email delivery services. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and your use of map data is also subject to Google's terms.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and may change, add or remove features over time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or put the Service or others at risk, giving notice where practical.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and trademarks belong to GroundsQuote. These terms do not give you any rights in them other than the right to use the Service as described.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms. After termination we may delete your data in line with our privacy policy; export what you need first.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which GroundsQuote is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of that state.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
