The program

GroundsQuote Service Alerts is a text message program run by GroundsQuote, the quoting and scheduling software used by lawn care and landscaping businesses. Homeowners who choose to join receive texts about their own quotes and service visits with the business they work with. Each text starts "GroundsQuote:" and names that business.

The texts are transactional updates about work the homeowner asked for:

  • a quote (or an updated quote) is ready to view, and a reminder shortly before it expires;
  • a reminder of an upcoming visit, with the arrival window when there is one;
  • the crew is on the way;
  • a visit was moved, rained out or skipped;
  • a visit was completed.

We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.

Examples

  • "GroundsQuote: Your quote from Green Lawns for Lawn Mowing is ready: $45.00 per visit, 1x per week. View and accept: https://widget.groundsquote.com/q/… Reply STOP to opt out."
  • "GroundsQuote: Reminder from Green Lawns: Lawn Mowing at 9 Oak St is scheduled for tomorrow (Tue, Oct 6), arriving 10am-noon. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • "GroundsQuote: Green Lawns is on the way for Lawn Mowing at 9 Oak St. Reply STOP to opt out."

How you join

Texts are sent only to people who ask for them. You can join by:

  • ticking the unchecked "Text me updates" box when you request a quote through a business's quote form;
  • ticking the same box when you view or accept a quote;
  • turning on text updates in the business's customer portal; or
  • telling the business's team, who read you this program's description and record your yes and your number.

Each option shows or reads the program's description, the message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to get help or opt out. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of getting a quote or a service. After you join we send one text confirming it:

"GroundsQuote: You are signed up for text updates about your quotes and visits with Green Lawns. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with your quotes and visits: typically two or three texts per quote and up to four per visit (reminder, on the way, a change, done). Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. We will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed and send nothing more to that number. Reply START to join again.

Reply HELP for help, or email support@groundsquote.com. For questions about a quote or a visit itself, contact the lawn care business named in the text.
